Giant, buttery Florida avocados, picked from our own trees in the Redland.

Choquettes are one of South Florida's great winter avocados. Each fruit weighs 2–4 lb, with smooth, glossy green skin and mild, creamy flesh that's lighter than a Hass. Slice them over a salad, mash them into a big bowl of guacamole, or eat them straight with salt, lime and a drizzle of olive oil.

What's in the box

• 8–10 lb of Choquette avocados, usually 2–4 fruit depending on size
• Hand-picked to order from our own grove in Homestead, FL
• Packed by hand and padded for the trip

How to ripen

• Avocados ripen off the tree, so yours arrive firm and travel well.
• Leave them on the counter at room temperature. Most are ready in 3–7 days.
• It's ready when it gives slightly to gentle pressure, like a ripe Hass. The skin stays green.
• Once ripe, refrigerate and eat within a few days.

• FedEx 2-Day, shipping included in the price.
• We ship Monday–Wednesday so boxes don't sit in a warehouse over the weekend.
• Ships to the contiguous US. Not available in California, Alaska or Hawaii.

Seasonal and limited. When this season's crop is gone, it's gone until next year.
